My family was able to catch the show today at The Pabst Theater! My boys have loved dinosaurs since they were tiny babies and have grown to love them even more as they learn fascinating facts about these creatures from long ago! This show was not only educational, but it had a great mix of humor and interaction to keep even the adults longing for more.
While my children were on the edge of their seats throughout the show, an hour seemed the perfect length! The audience seemed to echo that feeling as the children around us were eager and ready to meet the baby dinosaurs at the end of the show.
What a great opportunity for my children to see some of their favorite creatures in a different light...literally! The show was fast-paced, action-packed and very entertaining! I enjoyed learning things about these dinosaurs...and sharing with my children different vocabulary words brought up throughout the show. And...BONUS! This fit into the curriculum my son was learning in school! Carnivore, Herbivore, Regurgitate,...his eyes got wider and wider as he heard words he was learning in school! This is the perfect show for any fan of these prehistoric creatures!
This show is aimed at children 3+. My children are all 6 and older, so they were not spooked by these dinosaur "costumes." My six year old did ask right as the show was starting, though, just to be sure. If you have a little one who is sensitive to sound or spooks easily, I would possibly use your judgement as to whether you want to brave the elements. My 7 year old is sensitive to sounds, so he did cover his ears a few times as the audience roared and shrieked with laughter and excitement. But, overall, the show was a HUGE success! I would highly recommend taking your dinosaur loving family out for a great, interactive show.
