Calling all Dinosaur lovers! A great way to spend some of your Spring Break with the kiddos to avoid the inevitable Spring Break Boredom...Head to the Milwaukee Public Museum for some prehistoric fun during Dino Days on March 30th and 31st. All educator-led activities are available to the public and perfect for families. Create your very own customized itinerary from the list of activities below; join in just one or try them all! Most activities are FREE with paid general museum admission.
DI-KNOW Family Fossil Workshop
Test your dinosaur knowledge in an educator-led DI-KNOW tour. You'll investigate the Age of Dinosaurs Timeline and what makes dinosaurs from the Southern Hemisphere, currently on exhibit in Ultimate Dinosaurs, different from others found in the museum. Kids will even make a trace fossil and cast to take home! 45 min. program
Cost: $4 for public; $2 for members [workshop admission required ages 4 and up]. Capacity 25 people. Recommended for ages 3 and up.
*DI-KNOW Workshop does not include admission to the Ultimate Dinosaurs exhibition

FREE Dino Days Activities
Take the Fossil Challenge!
Can you tell the difference between a real fossil and a replica? Between a rock and petrified wood? What is a fossil, anyway? Join MPM educators on the first floor near the Sense of Wonder exhibit to test your knowledge in MPM's Fossil Challenge.

Dinosaur Activity Play Stations, ages 3-5
Visit our early childhood classroom for dinosaur themed activities and play stations for children ages 3-5. Examine fossils, make a dinosaur habitat and create dino art to take home. Space is limited to 30 people at a time.
Cost: FREE with paid museum admission; Parents and chaperones are asked to remain with their child(ren) during play time

Wear your Flare! Temporary Dinosaur Tattoos
Need a little extra dino flare? Come visit the volunteer table outside of the Ultimate Dinosaurs exhibit for a special dinosaur temporary tattoo.

Name that Dinosaur!

Decorate-a-Dino Crafts
Show your dino pride by decorating and wearing a dinosaur crown during your visit to the museum. You will also have a chance to customize your very own dinosaur egg.

Sort Fossils Like a Paleontologist!
Ever wondered what it would be like to work as a paleontologist? You can sort fossils like one! Spend a few minutes using a microscope to identify microfossils collected in Hells Creek, Montana.
Cost: FREE with paid museum and special exhibit admission
When: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 - 3 p.m. March 30th and 31st

Exhibit Fun Fact Stop Spots
MPM's talented docents and volunteers will be placed throughout the museum during Dino Days sharing all sorts of exhibit fun facts not normally on display.
