Saturday, November 9th-
Waukesha County Recycles Open House-
Waukesha County Materials Recycling Facility is hosting an Open House for the community! Kids can meet Recycle Raccoon, collect trading cards, and become educated about recycling. There will be music, refreshments, and prizes from FM 106.1. Advanced Disposal will have refuse and recycling collections trucks available for viewing.
Trainfest-
Trainfest is the only place in the world to experience so many scales and operating railroads under one roof. Trainfest is designed for train fans of all ages, from youngsters to the young at heart, who come to enjoy the best the model railroading hobby has to offer.
STEMfest at Discovery World-
There will be STEM themed exhibits that will provide hands-on learning opportunities. So pack up the kids and go to Discovery World from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm and enjoy this special opportunity provided by Time Warner Cable and Discovery World.
Veterans Day Parade-Milwaukee-
The annual tradition of the Milwaukee Veteran’s Day Parade continues. The parade will begin at the corner of Kilbourn and Plankinton, rain or shine. It will head south on Plankinton, then east on Wells St, south on Prospect, then east on Mason to end at Veterans Park.
Operation Honor-A Salute To Veterans- Waukesha-
Head to Waukesha North High School for a program honoring Veterans, to say Thank You! The 132nd Army Band will be playing, and all Veterans will be recognized. To finish the program there will be a fireworks display at Lowell Park. Doors open at 3:30 pm and the programs begins at 4:30 pm.
Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra-Free Concert-
This you won’t want to pass up, especially if you have kids who are interested in music. Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra will have a free concert that will highlight the new music by composers between the ages of 18-35. This is a collaboration between the UW-MKE, the MSO and the American Composers Forum.

Trainfest-

Winter Farmers Market- Oconomowoc-
The 2013 Winter Farmers Market for Oconomowoc will be held at Oconomowoc Landscape Supply & Garden Center, N68 W37850 County Trunk K, Oconomowoc.
’Honor Flight: The Movie’-
“Honor Flight: The Movie” will be shown at YMCA at Pabst Farms. This is a free community event. The UW Marching Band will be there for a special performance.
