It’s time to set downtown aglow! Join us for the city’s largest switch-flipping ceremony as we light three parks and downtown’s grandest thoroughfares. To get us in the spirit, we’ll pack the stage with music by Spider George & The Web and The Tempters; dancing by Studio VIA and Danceworks Youth Performance Company; skits from The Rep and First Stage; ice sculpting by Ice Beat Factory; and a visit from Santa, of course. Then we’ll illuminate the night with thousands of lights and a stunning fireworks display synchronized to your favorite holiday hits. The finale will spark just before 6:30 p.m.

Complimentary cocoa and cookies will be served throughout the program. Plus, after the show, free T-Mobile Jingle Bus rides will connect revelers to all the sights.

We went to this last year with some good friends and had a great time!  It's a fun, FREE way to get into the holiday spirit!

Parks that are part of the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival will have decorations on display from Thursday, November 21 through Monday, December 29, 2013.

Cathedral Square Park
Every year, the theme at Cathedral Square is “Community Spirit Park.” More than 60 metro Milwaukee schools adorn fresh evergreens with handmade ornaments, and energy-efficient LED lights will keep a 50-foot tree glowing red, blue or green.
Where: North Jefferson and East Wells streets

Pere Marquette Park
Visit "Electric Elves" at this little downtown park, featuring larger-than-life representations -- in lights -- of everyone's favorite toymakers.
Where: West State and Old World Third Streets

Zeidler Union Square
"Musical Bears" abound in this park, which features these funny critters at play on different instruments to form a rockin' bear band.
Where: West Michigan between 3rd and 4th streets

Wisconsin Avenue
Milwaukee's grand avenue will be decked with new chandeliers suspended above 17 different intersections.
