I cannot believe that the holiday season is among us. I sat down the other day to start on Christmas cards and am just in awe...where did the time go? It was so strange to put Happy New Year! UGH...so much for 2013 and we will welcome 2014 with plenty of smiles. Just can't believe it's almost over!
One thing I have learned to do through the years in preparation for the holidays is SHOP EARLY! I rarely, if ever, step foot into the store on Black Friday. That seems to be a good thing now that many retailers are opening on Thanksgiving night. That really bums me out. I look forward to spending that time with my family and I feel very badly for the people who have to work it. But, I digress.
As my holiday season is fastly approaching, I am getting the house prepped by taking out decorations. I am pulling everything out of the attic and I plan on, instead of shopping on Black Friday, having my house ready to decorate. Putting on some Christmas carols and getting the house ready with some hot cocoa and help from the little ones.
