Weekend Long Events-

Irish Fest-

Milwaukee Irish Fest is the world’s largest celebration of Irish music and culture. The four-day festival showcases more than 100 entertainment acts on 16-stages at Henry W. Maier Festival Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront. The annual festival occurs every third weekend in August. The 2013 festival takes place August 15 to 18.

Friday, August 16 – 4:00 PM to Midnight, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Only) – $5.00 Adults -5:30 p.m. to midnight – Regular priced admission

On Sunday, August 18, anyone donating a non-perishable food item by 11 a.m. (at the South Gate), will receive free admission to the festival. Patrons are welcome to attend the Mass beginning at 9:30 a.m. and will receive free admission immediately following. Those donating food who choose not to attend the Mass will receive a hand stamp valid for free entry at any time that day during regular festival hours (11 a.m. to 10 p.m.) All non-perishable food items will be donated to Hunger Task Force.

Ticket Prices

General Admission – $17.00
Senior (60 and Older) – $12.00
Thursday (Over 12) – $5.00
Children (12 and Under) – Free

Zoo a la Carte-

Zoo a la Carte is a Feast with the Beasts! Join the Milwaukee County Zoo for music, fun and food! This is a favorite for our family!

The hours for Zoo a la Carte are:

9 a.m. – 10 p.m., Thursday, August 15 through Saturday, August 17
9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Sunday, August 18

Kids can express their creativity with Kohl’s Color Wheels, a mobile art experience featuring activities including self-portraits and creature creations, at the Northwestern Mutual Family Farm.

Thursday, August 15, at 8 p.m. – JGB featuring Melvin Seals

Friday, August 16, at 8 p.m. – Ed Kowalczyk, founding member and former lead singer of Live

Saturday, August 17, at 8 p.m. – The Family Stone

All musical entertainment is free with regular admission. Zoological Society membership is valid for a la Carte. Food tickets, Zoo rides and special attractions can be purchased for an additional charge.

Milwaukee Domes Art Festival-

Works exhibited and for sale are sculpture, paintings in a variety of media, ceramics, photography, fiber arts, and jewelry. Names of the 50 selected artists, their media, and images of the works submitted to the jury are available on the event website at milwaukeedomesartfestival.com. Festival Hours are Friday, Aug. 16: Noon - 7 p.m, Saturday, Aug. 17: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 18: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Friday, August 16th-

Movie in the Park (Muskego)-

Friday, August 16, Muskego will be hosting Movies in the Park event at Veterans Memorial Park, located next to Muskego City Hall. They will be showing Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. The movie will start at dusk which should be around 8:15PM.

They did spray for mosquitos, but still suggest you bring along bug spray. Please also bring along a chair or blanket to sit on as you enjoy the show. Concession will be sold starting about 30 minutes before the show starts.

Please bring along one non-perishable food item per person to be donated to the Muskego Food Pantry.

Saturday, August 17th-

Bradford Beach Jam-
The tenth annual Bradford Beach Jam features non-stop reggae music, beach volleyball, beach dodgeball and baggo, beach rugby, soccer in the sand and wiffleball. Exhibitors will be selling Caribbean artwork and jewelry. Free admission. Music begins at 1:00 pm.

East Town Market-
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Stop by on Saturday mornings throughout the summer months for fresh produce, locally-made crafts, prepared foods, live entertainment and great activities. Over 100 Wisconsin vendors join and sell local goods every Saturday.
