The basic idea is to knit a simple baby cap, and save a newborn life. Knitting a baby cap is a simple and effective tool that can keep babies warm and ultimately contribute to reducing newborn deaths (which is 4 million per year) in the developing world.

Once the caps are completed, you can send the cap to Save the Children where they will then send them to their newborn health programs in Africa, Asia and Latin America. You will be able to view the progress of the caps online.
